Color Shader

The Color shader modifies the color characteristics of the selected target. This shader is commonly used for tonal correction, stylization, and dynamic color changes.

Available Parameters #

  • Brightness – Adjusts the brightness of whatever the shader is applied to, affecting the overall lightness or darkness, determined by the intensity of light reflected or emitted, affecting all pixels uniformly by making them lighter or darker
    • Percentage slider
    • Default value: 0
    • Negative values supported
  • Contrast – Adjusts the contrast of whatever the shader is applied to, affecting the difference in brightness, color, or tone between the light and dark areas, or different elements, within an image, making objects distinguishable and adding depth, dimension, and visual interest
    • Percentage slider
    • Default value: 0
    • Negative values supported
  • Saturation – Adjusts the saturation of whatever the shader is applied to, representing the intensity or purity of colors in a photo, representing how vivid or muted they appear

  • Tint
    • RGBA input and color selector
    • Allows direct color overlay with adjustable transparency
    • Click the box to the right of the RGB inputs to pull up the color picker

All numeric slider parameters support both positive and negative values, allowing for desaturation, inversion-style effects, or muted palettes.

Events #

  • An Events tab is available allowing in game actions to affect slider parameters
  • Events can be assigned to drive color changes dynamically
